Founding Table | Vail, Colorado | October 3–4, 2026
L3 Membership Agreement
What's Included
The founding table is five couples, by invitation. Each founding member has a conversation with the founder before joining. Founding members hold a permanent seat as the community grows.
The annual fee for the founding table is $5,000 to $15,000 per couple, on a sliding scale. The structure is not designed to maximize profit. It is designed to cover the founding weekend, the guest speakers – and activities throughout the year: the Brain Trust (recruitment and management), mentorship for other families with fewer resources, and the follow-on gatherings across the country through the year.
We ask each founding member to choose a contribution within the band that reflects both their capacity and what membership is worth to them. Members who can contribute at the higher end help underwrite the table for everyone. If hardship is a barrier, tell us — no one is excluded for that reason. Membership fees will rise in 2027. Lodging at Vail is arranged separately by each member at the Four Seasons or The Sebastian.
Confidentiality
This is an off-the-record gathering. What is shared in the room stays in the room. By attending, you agree not to record, publish, post, or share identifying information about other attendees, their families, or the specific content of personal conversations without explicit permission from the individuals involved.
Photography
We may take photographs or video during group moments for use in future communications. You will always be asked before any image of you is used publicly. If you prefer not to be photographed, simply let us know at check-in.
Coaches, Speakers, and Guest Professionals
The founding weekend includes conversations with coaches, clinicians, and other invited professionals. These conversations are personal and confidential, but they are not clinical treatment, therapy, medical advice, financial advice, or legal advice. Members should continue to work with their own therapists, physicians, attorneys, and advisors on decisions that require those specialists. L3 is not responsible for the guidance, opinions, or acts of any coach, speaker, Brain Trust member, or invited professional.
Health and Participation
We ask that you not attend if you are ill. Participation in all activities is entirely voluntary. The organizers are not responsible for injuries sustained during optional recreational activities.
Limitation of Liability
By participating in L3, each attendee acknowledges and agrees that Imperfect Leaders LLC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, invited coaches, speakers, Brain Trust members, and affiliates (collectively, the "Released Parties") shall not be liable for any personal injury, illness, emotional or psychological distress, death, property loss or damage, theft, delay, cancellation, or any other loss or damages of any kind — whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive — arising from or related to:
(a) participation in the founding weekend or any L3 programming, including year-round sessions and regional gatherings;
(b) travel to or from any venue by any means;
(c) lodging, meals, or accommodations;
(d) any recreational, optional, or independent activities undertaken before, during, or after any L3 event;
(e) the acts, omissions, opinions, or advice of any coach, speaker, Brain Trust member, or other invited professional; or
(f) the acts or omissions of any third party, including other attendees, venues, vendors, or service providers.
Attendance is entirely voluntary. Each attendee assumes all risks of participation and agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, damages, costs, or expenses arising from their participation. This release is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
Cancellation and Refunds
If L3 cancels the founding weekend for any reason, each founding member will receive a full refund of the membership fee paid for that year. L3 is not responsible for travel, lodging, or other expenses members incur in connection with attending. Members are encouraged to review the cancellation policies of the Four Seasons or The Sebastian and of their travel provider.
If a founding member withdraws before the founding weekend, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. Members who cannot attend Vail in a given year remain full members of the L3 community.
